Similar to acupuncture (but without needles), acupressure focuses on stimulating these points to relieve pain and restore balance in the body.

Step 1: Find a Comfortable Position

Step 3: Finding the Lumbar Pain Point
Here’s how to find this acupressure point on your hand:
- Look at the back of your hand, and focus on the area between the bones of your fingers.
- Slide the index finger of your opposite hand down between the bones of your index finger and middle finger until you reach a tender spot near your wrist. This is one location of the lumbar pain point.
- Next, do the same thing between your ring finger and pinky finger—you should find another tender spot here as well.
These two areas are where you’ll apply pressure.

Now that you’ve found the points, it’s time to apply the acupressure technique.

- Press down gently but firmly on the first tender spot (between the index and middle finger) for about one minute.
